The Yorkshire Honey bees forage for Summer Honey during June and July. They would continue to gather nectar after that time and are then relocated them to the Heather Moors. The main forage for our Summer Honey crop is clover, blackberry, willow herb, Himalayan balsam and lime trees.
Summer Honey is clear and runny. It’s flavour will differ slightly depending on the location of the apiary. This honey has a stronger floral flavour often with citrusy overtones. It is like golden sunshine in a squeezy bottle!!.
The hives are located in Cawthorne, Hood Green, Stainborough and Wentworth.
